Stop-Start SharePoint Services On Server using Management Shell and their Names

We can start and stop SharePoint server services using SharePoint Management Shell and this Scripts:

get-spserviceinstance | ? {$_.Typename -eq "YOURSERVICENAME"} | Stop-SPServiceInstance
get-spserviceinstance | ? {$_.Typename -eq "YOURSERVICENAME"} | Start-SPServiceInstance

We don’t have to know the service GUID, we only need its name. For example:

get-spserviceinstance | ? {$_.Typename -eq "User Profile Service"} | Stop-SPServiceInstance
get-spserviceinstance | ? {$_.Typename -eq "Managed Metadata Web Service"} | Stop-SPServiceInstance
